The obverse depicts St. Michael the Archangel holding a sword with a red stone at its center. Emblazoned over the sword is a shield with a six point Chicago Police star at its center with “St. Michael the Archangel, Pray For Us” raised around its perimeter. A rocker panel below the shield is emblazoned with the inscription “Patron of Police.” The obverse also features St. Michael the Archangel with another shield containing a red cross and the policeman’s prayer. A rocker panel below the shield is emblazoned with the inscription “Protect Us, Never forget.”
